Javascript assignment (Summer 2023)

Create a website or adapt your previous website to use javascript that includes:

Mandatory

  • Comment block about author, etc. (5 points)
  • A form (5 points)
  • Variables, selection, repetition, and two functions (25 points)
  • A search box and at least one embedded feature (20 points)
  • 3 dynamic actions (15 points)

Optional: To get any optional credit, you must score at least 65 points in the mandatory. Only 25 points are allowed in the optional section

  • An additional dynamic action (2 points)
  • An additional embedded feature (2 points)
  • Features for accessibility (up to 5 points)
  • Use of a cookie (15 points)
  • Use of JSON (15 points)
  • Use of Node.js (15 points)
  • Advanced features determined by the student and agreed upon by the professor prior to implementation. Points available to be part of that agreement

Submission, etc.

  • Make the page visible to the public
  • Place the html pages also in the github repository for the class
  • Create a video demonstrating the features that you want credit for
  • Place the video in the github repository
  • Place your learning journal in the repository
  • Send an email to the professor when all is ready for grading

This assignment is worth 85 points (but you can earn up to 100 points)
