No late work is accepted. ---+++Assignments * This course is primarily about writing up your experiences as a paper and finishing up the experience from the summer. However if you are actually doing the internship during this semester, the following applies 1. Weekly reflections. Each week you will need to submit a reflection about your experience that week. It should be about a page long (single spaced). This should reflect quality technical writing skills. It should include the following: a. Your name a. A brief summary of what was done (less than 1/4 page) a. Reflections on the work which can include any of the following: i. What you did that was very good i. What you tried but did not succeed in i. What problems you encountered and why (if you know) i. Things you learned that you want to take into your career. These could be technology related or about general work experiences i. Things you experience that may impact your remaining time at Bethel i. Insights about life that you gained i. Other things that you experienced that you might think are important 1. Bi-weekly meetings with everyone to discuss what has been happening. Maybe you have a question that others can help you with. Maybe you have something important to share. We can learn a lot from each other. 1. A final 10 page paper (single-spaced) report on your internship. This needs to reflect quality technical writing. This should include: a. Your name a. Details about your job (i.e. what you did, how you got the job) a. Valuable insights you have gained from the experience including how it might influence your future career a. Lessons you wish to share with future students before they do their internship ---+++ Grades. The final grade of the summer work (if you got an incomplete) is as below. The same applies for those doing the internship this semester 1. Weekly reports are worth a total of 10% of the grade 1. Attendance and contributing to the biweekly meeting is worth 10% of the grade 1. Your final report is forth 40% of the grade 1. Your supervisor's assessment of your work is worth 40% of the grade Your grades are made up of: * Grade scale * 93% <= average <= 100% -> A * 90% <= average < 93% -> A- * 87% <= average < 90% -> B+ * 83% <= average < 87% -> B * 80% <= average < 83% -> B- * 77% <= average < 80% -> C+ * 73% <= average < 77% -> C * 70% <= average < 73% -> C- * 67% <= average < 70% -> D+ * 63% <= average < 67% -> D * 60% <= average < 63% -> D- * 0% <= average < 60% -> F %INCLUDE{CampusPolicies2024}%
